BOEING PLANTII    HISTORY   FRIEND

My wife was in a store shopping and got kind of dizzy.
I was sitting here at computer.
At first I thought a big truck was going by.
Two seconds later I knew what it was and
just had to save what I was doing.
I just sat there and rolled around - It was kool.
I then shut the computer off.
About that time the guy on KIXI
realized something was wrong.
I looked outside to see if there was anything abnormal.
Turned on the TV and watched things evolve.
Later I turned the computer back on and
saw that I had saved the file at 10:54.

FRIEND'S EXPERIENCE
Yeah, it was pretty cool...  I was just getting back to my desk at work (7-21 bldg) from the MDRB meeting.  I looked at the clock on the wall, saw it was not quite lunch time, so decided to fire up my computer and do about a half hour's work.  Well... I didn't get much done as it was then about 10:53.  My wife (and two dogs) at home really felt the quake since we are only a few miles from the Nisqually Outlet - about 10 miles or so.  Luckily, it was 30 miles deep, so the motion was mostly up and down and not too much sideways.  Carole thought the roof of the house was coming down.  A number of things fell off cabinets, shelves, bookcases, but miraculously, nothing broke.  Our china cabinet from Italy has the top portion just sitting on the bottom half - it didn't even fall off.  Only the shelf part of my computer table fell back against the wall.  So, I consider ourselves very lucky!!

Hopefully, we won't see the 9.5 Seattle Fault quake!..
