The usual trip is made by route 2 to skip the traffic in Portland and US 26. On June 26, 2006, Vern took Letha to help Kelly and Greg  with LEO. They used route 2 going down. Vern explored an alternate trip back the same day. He took route 3. Oregon 47 has no straight sections but Vern thought it was fun. Vernonia is a beautiful little town.
