ALZADA, Montana
Our group, on May 18, 2001

Alzada, on the banks of the Little Missouri River, was settled in the late 1870s.  It was originally called Stoneville, after a saloon owner, Lou Stone. later renamed "Alzada" in honor of Mrs. Alzada Sheldon.  In 1884 the notorius Exelby Gang was brought down in the Shootout at Stoneville.    See State Travel Web Site.

Bikers on their way to Sturgis, know this place as having - video poker , camping , ammo , tattooing , cheap drinks & lousy food .                    See Montana Bar Guide
